Description: The preparation of all materials and application evidence in support of an extension to scope application.

Purpose: To extend the scope of an RTOs registration to include new qualifications or units of competence.

Outline of service: The preparation of an extension to scope application is conducted cooperatively with you to prepare all evidence. Some items are purely provided by you including application payment, CEO declaration and details of suitably competent trainers, etc. Newbery Consulting will review the evidence of competence and currency of trainers and provide rectification advice if required. Other items are jointly prepared such as the evidence of industry consultation and assessment validation. In preparing an extension to scope application, we will:

• identify and recommend commercial learning resources (if available) to match your intended delivery method;
• prepare a detailed strategy for training and assessment;
• prepare assessment resources for 2 x units of competence (one core / one elective);
• collate and present evidence of industry consultation; and
• package the application in Acrobat and print / deliver to regulator.

Note: Some regulators will not require learning or assessment materials to be submitted with the initial application. These materials may be audited during a subsequent desk or site audit.

The decision to conduct a desk or site audit is based on the regulator’s risk assessment of the application and the RTO. Newbery Consulting will prepare two assessment packages in order to set the RTO on the right course for ongoing development activity. We can develop all assessment packages for an additional fee. Newbery Consulting take a very high quality approach to the design and development of training and assessment. We guarantee our products are compliant and will make any rectification relating to our products at no additional cost.

 Indicative Cost:
Single qualification – $5,500.00

Single unit of competence – $3,300.00

Other information: Please note that the cost is inclusive of GST. Travel is generally not required. Newbery Consulting does not charge for travel time.
