Plan assessment activities and processes

This webinar is a pre-recorded video that is accessed by purchasing a registration. The webinar can be viewed at your convenience in the next seven days following your purchase.
This webinar focuses on Clause 1.8 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations which says:
“The RTO implements an assessment system that ensures that assessment
(including recognition of prior learning):
a) complies with the assessment requirements of the relevant training package or VET accredited course; and

Why
Assessment is the most difficult, important and frequent thing that an RTO does. This presentation will focus on preparing for assessment from the Assessor’s perspective. In the majority of RTOs there is a reliance on the use of assessment tools which have been purchased from a commercial supplier. The Trainer/Assessor is provided these tools and needs to conduct their own appreciation to determine the tool’s suitability and compliance with the training package requirements. If this is done properly it will avoid unnecessary non-compliance. This session is designed as a refresher for assessors who are already practicing in the VET sector.
