Hello and welcome to VET News,
Sorry, I was dragging the chain this month and am a day late. I hope you are all well.
By popular demand, we have brought back our very popular compliance quiz. We will be updating this regularly with all questions focusing on the revised 2025 Outcome, Compliance Standards and Credential Policy. I know that it is a little stressful but there is nothing like a little pressure to bring out that Guru performance. You only have 5 minutes and there are only 10 questions. If you know your stuff, you will be fine.
Are you a Guru in compliance with the revised RTO standards? Give it a go and find out!!

Good training,
Joe Newbery

Unique Student Identifier: transcript update service
Did you know RTOs can manually update training records on a student’s USI transcript from a previous collection year?
These updates can only be made after the relevant collection window has closed. As such, the USI transcript update tool in AVS is temporarily unavailable following the annual AVETMISS reporting period—typically until mid to late May each year for that collection period’s data. Be sure to monitor the AVS home screen for announcements on when the tool becomes available
The USI Transcript tool is available within the AVETMISS Validation Software (AVS) via the collections tab. To update a USI transcript, RTO’s must have a registered AVS account.
